Another widespread hard freeze is going to impact the entire region overnight into tomorrow morning.

Tonight: Hard freeze warnings are in effect for the North-Central Gulf Coast, much of the Texas Gulf Coast,  and all of Louisiana, Mississippi, and much of Alabama through tomorrow morning. Temperatures will drop into the teens and twenties overnight and tomorrow morning, causing a hard freeze.

There is also a freeze warning in effect for the lower Texas Gulf Coast (around Brownsville and Corpus Christi) through tomorrow morning. Temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 20s to lower 30s tonight, resulting in a freeze.

Tomorrow: Afternoon high temperatures will range from the mid 30s to lower 40s across the North-Central Gulf Coast and Texas Gulf Coast, and upper 20s to lower 30s across North and Central Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Dangerous wind chills (“feels like temp”) tonight into tomorrow: Severe and dangerous wind chills will also occur overnight into tomorrow.

Forecast minimum wind chill values tomorrow overnight/tomorrow morning for the Houston/Galveston area.

Wind chill values will be in the teens along the North-Central Gulf Coast and mid and upper Texas Gulf Coast, and 20s along the lower Texas Gulf Coast, tonight and tomorrow morning. Wind Chill Advisories are in place for some areas.

Remainder of the week: A re-enforcing wave of cold, arctic air arrives midweek as another front drops south, bringing another strong area of high pressure from Canada.

The aforementioned air-mass will lead to frigid temperatures continuing through Friday for the North-Central Gulf Coast, Louisiana, and Central and South Mississippi and Alabama. Meanwhile, the re-enforcing air-mass won’t quite make it to the Texas Gulf Coast, where frigid temperatures only look to stick around through Wednesday into Thursday.

There will be a widespread hard will freeze and/or freeze each night/morning through Thursday/Friday along the North-Central Gulf Coast and across Louisiana, and South and Central Mississippi and Alabama; the same goes for the Texas Gulf Coast – except only through Wednesday/Thursday morning. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s each afternoon.

Temperatures will begin to moderate along the Texas Gulf Coast Friday, and the North-Central Gulf Coast and Central and South Mississippi and Alabama this weekend.

Rain: Dry conditions should prevail through the remainder of the week.
